The Veterans Motorcycle club (VMC) provides practical and emotional support to twelve thousand ex-service men, women and their family’s each year through its diverse range of services at 32 sites across Australia. Since 1989, the VMC still works in accordance with its original mission: To respond to and support all Veterans in times of need.
The Veteran Motorcycle club services are backed by a committed team of volunteers which includes a Suicide Overwatch programme, emergency accommodation and financial support, Department of Veterans Affairs claims delegates, counselling services and access to professional mental health and nutrition professionals. We mesh with local communities by way of Memorial Services for the fallen, Military Anniversaries and social motorcycle rides to raise funds for other Ex-Service Organisations and Charities.
In tandem, our organisation brings Veterans who are isolated by physical and mental injuries from their service, back, connecting with others and engaging with the local community through volunteering to support other Veterans in need and raising awareness of Veterans within the local area.
